Lightroom Hack Serial Number

I have an excellent opportunity of buying a fully OK boxed version of the above. Class 2018 with Licence/Key or whatever it is and then 'for ever' (it says) I've been a long-time user of Photoshop for some 20 years or so ( now with CS6) and apart from a few other progs that act as Plug-ins type I have always found that quite good enough for all my needs (NOT an expert by any means but just like to lightly process any decent pics.) I did actually have a quite early version of Lightroom (maybe about ver.3 or so.) but as my computers never developed - as for my humble needs there was no real need - and of course LR was developing and became not usable on my older Win system. But after a sad demise of my old computer I'm now 'stuck' alas with blasted Win 10 (slowly getting on top of it!) and so it was of interest to find out by chance that I could get a totally satisfactory (approved & genuine) copy of Lightroom Classic 2018 for a very good price. I found of course that contrary to all my earlier known facts. That Lightroom CC had gone to annual 'subscription' basis. But it SEEMS that if I'm right on this the Lightroom Classic is NOT of the subscription type and once installed and fully activated it then lasts 'forever'. I just want to be sure on this so am asking if anybody can indeed confirm for me that if I buy this it will indeed then be a 'user' for as long as I want/need it.

I did do quite a bit of checking or searching on this and was a little surprised myself (although with literally no real experience of LR) that oddly it is now being done in two versions. I think the 'Classic' version (NOT Classic CC) is a program that is in no way upgradable so THAT is the 'defect' you have to consider - in my case it probably matters not. But have a look here.

The one I'm looking at is this. ADOBE LIGHTROOM CLASSIC 2018 PC or MAC. I checked THAT up as well as I could and it is where I got the indication of the TWO versions.

And I'm presuming that it is why such version is perhaps being sold lower. There are LOADS of offers on this one and it gives me the impression that for very many users (the more experienced than I am.) it may be less desired, hence not as many buying. I'm STILL considering ALL the odds and mostly why I wanted to clarify as I'm very unfamiliar with Lightroom as a program these days except that it still looks a lot like I know it earlier and feel it could be a decent addition alongside CS6.
